Ugh…
So, I’ve been debating asking Eli to prom for a week now, just been too chicken to ask my parents, let alone her. Now she’s looking for a boyfriend, and to be quite honest, she sounds a bit desperate. I want to ask her out, but I know my parents will be “disappointed”, the most irritating thing a parent can say. They’ll let you do your thing, but keep that dagger of guilt right there. I’m sure they’d like Eli, but they don’t want me dating in general, let alone a Mormon girl. The other dilemma is simply one of distance. 30 miles is a ways to come, though I’m willing, I think that it will be better in theory than in practice. I can’t manage to plan something with Lane; frequent visits are bound to be nearly impossible, especially without my parents total approval. Well, I have to cut this rant short, battery dying, but rest assured I’m losing sleep on this…
